1st-4th May 2020

With the bad ass assisting team: Flutuantis Acroyoga, Sol Dandara Frota, Sofia Borje Cea, Gabi Dal Ponte & Marcelo Panetone

TRAIN HARD…BUT PLAY HARDER…

Let’s meet, play, train, learn and fly!!!

Five days of acrobatics: standing acro, L basing, Handstand training, Hand to Hand, washing machines, acrobatic sequences and a lot of fun!!

The Solar Immersion empowers students to realize their infinite potential through the powerful embodiment of acrobatic partnership.

Linear progressions and an emphasis on the art of spotting make learning advanced acrobatics safe, accessible, and fun. Confidence and coordination are developed in strength training and inversions, which pave the way for ease and grace in partner acrobatics. Acrobatic flying transitions are trained in groups – where we dedicate part of our training to work in same size groups and another part where we specialise in the roles of base and flyer for optimum learning curve.

After refining foundations, we will train more precise acrobatic work, such as foot-to-hand, hand-to-hand and standing acrobatics. Get ready to push past your own personal limits in a fun and safe environment.

This course fulfils an immersion pre-requisite for the AcroYoga International teacher training application.

ABOUT THE TEACHERS
Erica Montes (SYT) first worked with the body though performance art, acrobatics and theatre. She first encountered Yoga and meditation as a teenager and, after years working as an actor, found a common ground between her intensely disciplined theatre work and Eastern practices that promote mindfulness through physical motion. Erica completed her 500 hour Yoga certification with the renowned Edward Clark’s Tripsichore Yoga. She is a Thai massage therapist, a certified level 2 and AcroYoga immersion instructor – as well as a mentor for other teachers. Originally from Brazil, Erica lives in London and have been teaching internationally since 2008.

Juampi Travaglini grew up in the mountains, in the country side. He began finding balance on top of horses even before he learned how to walk on his feet. The practice of Volting was his initiation at acrobatics and he’s been learning Gaucho’s (Argentina’s cowboy) skills since childhood.
Martial arts, cycling, hikking and dance were introduced to him as a teenager. Yoga and circus arts blew his mind in his 20s. At circus school he specialised in handbalancing and mixed acrobatics – and practiced skills like juggling, aerial, clowning and body expression as part of his journey.
Juampi discovered Acroyoga at a circus convention and fell in love with the practice and the global acro family. Now he travels teaching handstands and acrobatics worldwide. The beautiful thing about this – he finds – is that he’ll never stop being student.
