Standing Acro Mini-Con

Event Details

Two and a half days, dedicated entirely to standing acro.

Held at the amazing Cambridge Acro Festival venue, we’re running a small, personalised convention with heaps of space, incredible international teachers, lots of workshops across the levels, and plenty of time for jamming.

TEACHERS
Confirmed so far, we have the fantastic…
Chris and Iona from Chris and Iona – Partner Acrobatics Duo
Ben and Elisabeth from Analogue Acrobatics
Janni Scott-Walton
Jaqui Wan

LEVEL
We ask that everyone attending this convention is able to:
1. Hold a stable 2-high (standing on shoulders) for 10 seconds
2. Hold a stable foot to hand (standing in hands) either L based or standing for 10 seconds

At any one time, there will be 3 workshops running simultaneously – an easier one, an intermediate one, and an advanced. Something for everyone 🙂

ACCOMMODATION
Please feel free to use this event page to find acro friends in Cambridge to stay with 🙂 Alternatively there are plenty of hotels / air bnbs in the area – probably best to book ahead as these do fill up!

TRANSPORT
By air: Stansted airport is by far the most convenient. From there, you can either hire a car and drive to the sports hall (30 min drive; parking is easy) or you can take the train (see below).

By train: Cambridge Station is the most convenient. Cambridge North Station is much less convenient. From Cambridge Station here you can take Busway Route U directly from the station to the sports hall, or order an Uber.

By car: there is loads of parking just outside the venue.
