Event Details

AcroYoga Weekend Intensive with Francesco Semino & Jaqui Wan

Cost: €110 before the 10th December 2018 thereafter €130 or €70 for one day

We are super excited to announce a co-teaching partnership a first at Spazio Nu. Both Francesco from Genova and Jaqui from London will be collaborating to offer a weekend introduction to AcroYoga, a weekend to explore the combined elements of yoga, partner acrobatics and healing arts.

We will introduce the two paths of AcroYoga over the weekend. We will combine the lunar practices of Thai massage and flying therapeutics and the strength, power and embodiment of partner acrobatics known as the solar side to AcroYoga.

We hope to give you an introduction to AcroYoga and encourage you to move, connect and play.

Jaqui Wan

Believe in your playing potential

Jaqui has an asana yoga practice that spans in excess of 20 years and as a result has accumulated thousands of hours of self-practice and training and has been influenced by several teachers and styles. Despite this experience she still sees herself as a student and is constantly learning new things in her practice and through her teaching.

She has been drawn to strong and dynamic styles of asana yoga beginning with Ashtanga Vinyasa to Dharma Yoga and Tripsichore; she has also been hugely influenced with her training into myofascial movement, drawn from Tom Myer’s ‘Anatomy Trains’. This supports and legitimises, anatomically and physiologically, the Nadi, Sen and Meridian energy lines in the body and how that applies to a fully functioning body, thereby marrying up her work in the healing arts.

Since being certified as and AcroYoga teacher in 2006, she has been a complete convert to this practice and as a such has been studying partner acrobatics since her teacher training. She started out as a flyer and for the past years discovered the joys of being a base, despite her size being at times a disadvantage.
