Monte Orada is a family run, eco-sustainable, community based retreat centre, nestled in 71 ha of nature and privacy, created with the aim of expanding health and proposing purposeful transformational moments.
Located at Portugal’s Southwest Atlantic Coast, bordering Algarve, Orada combines an amazing host, spectacular wild Surf beaches and the authentic countryside tranquility of Alentejo. 1,5 hours away from Faro airport and 2,5 hours away from Lisbon, this isolated evergreen valley creates an abundant oasis where two creeks come together, as a womb to nourish an ancient lush forest and wildlife vistas.

The buildings and retreat facilities were reconstructed using traditional and organic materials (adobe) giving this beautiful property not only an authentic Portuguese feel, but also providing a healthy and comfortable environment in all weather. Besides your own accommodation, all guests have access for free to all shared spaces: Biopool, Canteen, Meditation Temple, Chillout Panoramic Solarium, Terrace, stone oven, natural amphitheater lounge and all 71 hectares of the ranch, hiking trails, creeks.

As a permaculture inspired retreat center with the aim of health and transformation, Orada provides delicious and nutritious vegetarian food which comes mostly straight from the gardens. Organic greens and herbs are grown in the mandala gardens, as well as pines, cork oaks and arbutus berries. The menu is consciously prepared to be healthy and balanced, nutritious and tasty using seasonal products.

The teaching team:
INEZ ALMEIDA is an acroyoga teacher, actress, dancer and Thai massage therapist. She has been drawn to movement since she can remember and it took her to explore many different forms and styles.
Movement is energy moving, unblocking, freeing itself, expressing life through the body.
Her movement journey started at the age of 9 in the Ballet Conservatory of Lisbon where she studied for several years.
Inez has a Bachelor in physical acting from the Theatre University of Amsterdam, she is a certified teacher in both Acroyoga international (http://www.acroyoga.org) and Montreal style (https://acroyoga.com), and holds also a certificate in healing Thai yoga massage. She has been working as a freelance traveling extensively in several continents with her artistic work, and has been teaching Acroyoga intensively throughout the past few years in many communities in Europe.
Her love for movement and its healing powers have brought her to explore different ways to access that sacred place where transformation can occur. She believes in sharing with an open heart, creating space for connection, trust and intimacy, allowing love to flow freely.

HAEIN CHO, Originally from South Korea, Haein grew up in Auroville, a spiritual community in South India. She’s a certified Watsu & massage therapist as well as a yoga & level 2 Acro yoga Immersion instructor. Haein shares Yoga & AcroYoga as practices available for every body, age, and ability. She aims to support all beings through movement, connection, and play.
With a background in Aquatic body work, she brings in a unique softness in her practice with fine balance between effortless movement and body control.
She has been teaching Yoga, Acroyoga & Meditation in form of Teacher Training, retreat, workshop, class and in festivals and conventions in Mexico, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Greece, Iran, India, Korea, Hongkong, Japan and Taiwan.
