Join Christine Moonbeam and James Heugh for a weekend Acro Intensive in Denver next spring! We’re excited to combine styles and join forces to bring an exciting training opportunity to Denver May 29-31, 2020!

This intensive will focus on building a strong connection between the base and flyer as we flip, toss, and drop through visually impressive lifts and sequences, We’ll also be exploring the wide worlds of Foot to Hand & Hand to Hand; these skills are not just poses, they are practices that encompass an entire body of drills and skills. If you want to be super comfortable in standing skills, in hand to hand skills or are looking for creative expressions in and out of the these skills, this training is for you! We’ll cover everything from spotting techniques, solo work for bases and flyers to body alignment, balance skills, strength & mobility building, and proper movement mechanics to build a strong and sustainable acro practice.

Over the course of 15 hours we will explore the following:
-Dance Lifts
-Standing Transitions
-Standing Foot to Hand Work
-Hand to Hand (including extended work)
-Dynamic Entries and Exits to F2H & H2H
-Toe Pitching
-Handstand Training
-Mobility, Conditioning and Strength work for acrobats

ABOUT THE TEACHERS
Christine Moonbeam:
Christine ? is an experienced partner acrobatics and handstand instructor offering workshops, weekend intensives, 5 day immersions, handstand workshops, and teacher mentorship programs globally. Christine is co-founder of Lift School of Acrobatics, Coach at Pitch Catch Circus School, co-founder of Colorado Acro Fest, a RYT 200 with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from the University of Iowa.
She is an advocate of cultivating partner acrobatics as an inclusive, artistic co-creation that develops practitioners through healthy relationship building and dedication to empower each other in their role. In any movement practice, it is always a journey of finding the balance between training and play. Her goal is to create a safe and enriching training space to foster her students’ exploration and work toward their goals.
Christine’s more than 20 years of training and teaching have given her a well developed eye for alignment and movement, and her ability to give skillful and compassionate feedback leads to student success.
CHRISTINE’S MISSION is to make partner acro, handstands and movement fun, empowering, healthy, and accessible by providing high quality instruction to all levels of practitioners. Cultivate magic through movement practice!

James Heugh:
James is a Los Angeles based Acro teacher and performer. Originally from Windsor, Canada, James has recently been hired by Cirque Du Soleil to perform in the ice show Crystal as a hand to hand porter. With in 3 years of living in Los Angeles James has performed on other shows such as Americas Got Talent, Le Plus Grand Cabaret du Monde and Circus Couture with Acro Army, also landing performance opportunities in Hollywood doing Acro in national television commercials. James recently finished his Acro World Tour where he taught in 43 cities all over North America, South America and Asia over the course of 5 months.
James’ classes are high energy, fun and offer a new perspective on Standing Acro.
